Tell me....
While parking late at night, you slightly scrape the side of a Porsche. You are certain no one else is aware of what happened. The damage is minor and would not be covered by insurance. Would you leave a note?

I would leave an e-mail address, some porsche owners can be uber-assholes. You know test the waters, If they are receptive and halfway nice I'd help, If thier tone was aggresive, I might not be so eager.
Karma is a pain, but I must say if no one saw it I wouldn't leave a note. It happens to the best of us, and karma will come back around, but I will deal with it at that time. =/
Karma is a pain yeah... ever heard of "do unto others as you would have others do to you"? you do what is right. of course you leave a note. wouldn't you be pissed if somebody ran into your car? side note.this happened a couple of years ago. I came out of the grocery store and was getting into my car. I notice this woman in a Surburban try to get into a parking spot and scrape the side of a car. back out and park in another spot. she got out and was obviously drunk.. I went into the grocery store and had the car owner paged and told her what happened. we called the police etc. the owner was very gratefull, this beind her husbands new car and the first time he had let her drive it... you do what is right....
Of course I'd leave a note. Just to cover my ass I would probably file the DMV accident form as well so they couldn't claim it as hit and run.
I'll consider what to say on the note though. I might put my insurance company contact info down so they wouldn't be able to annoy me personally. (Of course my insurance would cover any damage since the "property damage liability" coverage doesn't have a deductible.)

It has happened to me, and they didn't leave a note or anything and it pissed me off. So, knowing how it feels, I would probably leave a note and take the consequences as they come.
It's happened to me, too (though not in a Porsche - unfortunately). And yes, I would definitely leave a note - for my own peace of mind as much as anything. Firstly so that I wouldn't feel guilty about not leaving a note, and secondly because I would always be wondering whether someone did see.
You definitely leave a note. Like you said "you are certain no one else is aware of what happened". But are you 100% sure no one saw anything?
I would pretend to leave a note! Just in case anyone is looking. :)
No question that one would have to leave a note.
The only problem would be that there is no such thing as minor damage on a Porsche.

I vaguely recall seeing some TV show or movie where the guy came out to find someone had hit his car and there was a note that said "Someone is watching me, so I had to make it look like I was leaving a note. Tough luck about your car."
I wouldn't but mainly because I'm literate and can't rite or spelt, plus I'm a jackass.
Of course I would not put a note... are you nuts?
I have done this and I did leave a note. They were extremely grateful as well as very surprised and they kept thanking me. Best of all, I felt good about doing it too.
A good thing all around.
It happened to me, they did not leave a note, but a witness did.
The 65 year old was extremely embarrassed when the cops knocked on his door that evening (and his wife was mad). He admitted to doing it and was let off with a warning.
So, I would leave a note. (I would also take pictures of it so that I would not get stuck with all of the work he needed to do to his car, and report it to the cops too.)
Hell, no, I wouldn't leave a note. Unless you feel like it- follow your guts. And KARMA is BULLSHIT. Unless you're all Hindu than GIVE UP on the karma thing, PLEASE. It makes me wanna puke. I am from a city though, and i have had my car messed up countless times, and a note did I get? Never. Didn't expect one either. Anyways, if they had a Porsche then they can afford minor repairs. If you don't want your car to get smashed, then park it in a garage. Always. Or drive a crappier car.
This happened to me. The note said:
"I bet everyone watching me write this note thinks I'm leaving you my number."
